Brian Meade

Founding principal, President

Brian took a professional degree in architecture at Virginia Tech and spent his first years at an architectural firm in Maryland. He excelled at the design work and found he was more interested in how buildings actually get built, so he came back to New Jersey and found his footing representing owners.

He started as an on-site project manager on school buildings, moved up to Project Executive over a group of project managers, and became a principal of the predecessor firm in 2001. He founded Legacy with Keith in 2011. Over thirty years in construction management, general contracting and architecture, most of it on public work for schools and municipalities. He runs business development and takes the Project Executive role on selected projects.

Keith Thompson

Founding Principal, Vice President

Keith studied at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and became Director of Facilities Planning and Field Operations at The Ryan Group, running its Manhattan corporate accounts. He then spent five years as project manager and job captain at Tomaino & Tomaino Architects, on municipal buildings and public schools.

He joined the predecessor firm in 1990 as an on-site project manager, was promoted to Project Executive over the on-site managers, and became a principal in 2001. Over forty years across construction management, general contracting and architecture, on individual projects up to sixty million dollars. He oversees field operations and takes the Project Executive role on selected projects.

Conor O'Brien

Principal, Project Executive

Conor came up through the trades side rather than the drawing board. He managed commercial, multi-family and single-family work in New York City, then ran a residential and light commercial contractor with twelve field employees and a roster of subcontractors, then oversaw commercial projects from half a million to fifteen million across the tri-state area.

He joined Legacy in 2020 as an on-site project manager and Project Executive, and became a principal in 2023. He is a contract negotiator and estimator by instinct, and the person on this team most likely to catch a design problem before it reaches the field.
